Donald DeSanto II, MD
Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon
Dr. DeSanto is a Northeast Ohio native. He completed a 6 year accelerated B.S./M.D. program at YSU/NEOMED. He went to UC Irvine for orthopaedic surgery residency, where he became passionate for orthopaedic trauma. After residency he went to Cedars Sinai Medical Center to complete fellowship training in orthopaedic trauma. Here Dr. DeSanto built on the excellent trauma training from UCI in the treatment of polytrauma, complex periarticular fractures, pelvic and acetabular fractures, and nonunions/malunions. Dr. DeSanto also has an interest in medical advocacy. He served on the Orange County Medical Association Board of Directors during most of residency, as well as a Delegate to the House of Delegates of the California Medical Association in the Resident Fellow Section. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the California Orthopaedic Association.
